Planners and others who select destinations and venues for meetings and events always think there is information they aren't told. Those who sell for those venues often respond only to what they are specifically asked. "Hidden in plain sight" are areas that we all either take for granted—like that the front desk will be in the same place as when we looked at the property—or that we don't consider, such as whether "ADA compliant" really means accessible.

Join Meetings Today and veteran planner Joan Eisenstodt, author of Meetings Today's Friday With Joan monthly newsletter, to discover the critical items and issues that may not be apparent on the surface.

By participating in this webinar, you will learn to:

  • Ask more fully developed questions when writing RFPs or site inspection checklists.
  • Inspect a site when you can't physically go to see it.
  • Verify information on a venue's website.
  • Confirm what you see as part of a contract.

Got questions? To help Joan prepare, send questions to FridaywithJoan@aol.com, and on the subject line enter "Site Selection and Inspection Webinar Question."

We'll try to get to all of your questions during the webinar or in the "Take 10" after.

Earn CEUs: The Events Industry Council has reviewed the learning objectives of this activity and has indicated that attendees will receive 1 CE hours in the Site Management Domain of the CMP or CMP-HC Standards.
