Fire Destroys 2 Santa Rosa Meeting Hotels

SANTA ROSA, Calif.

The iconic Fountaingrove Inn and the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country hotel, both located in Santa Rosa, Calif., were destroyed by wildfire that spread across Sonoma County, according to an article from SFGate.

The 124-room Fountaingrove Inn posted the following update on its website:

“In the late hours of Oct. 8, 2017, Fountaingrove Inn | The Steakhouse @ Equus fell victim to the devastating fire in Sonoma County, and guests were subsequently evacuated. At this time we are unable to conduct business in any capacity. As we have more information we will post updates.”

The update was attributed to Fountaingrove Inn General Manager Justin Hayman.

The 250-room Hilton Sonoma Wine Country’s website displayed an alert that read as follows: “The hotel is temporarily closed due to area wildfires. Please contact info@atriumhospitality.com with questions.”

Fountaingrove Inn featured a conference center and more intimate meeting space for smaller groups. The Hilton Sonoma Wine Country included 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
