Scheduled for an early 2017 opening, The Ivey’s Hotel is a five-star, 42-room boutique hotel just steps from the Charlotte Convention Center offering boardroom and meeting space, plus executive suites with large living rooms for private meetings.

Located across from the convention center and NASCAR Hall of Fame, the new 250-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown, with 6,200 square feet of event space, is accepting reservations starting April 2, 2017.

Targeting a March 2017 opening, the 195-suite Springhill Suites Charlotte Uptown adds pivotal hotel space along Charlotte’s light rail system. Located across from Spectrum Center, the hotel’s two meeting rooms provide 4,092 square feet of total space.

The dual-branded 184-room AC Hotel by Marriott Charlotte City Center Downtown and 116-room Residence Inn Charlotte City Center are slated to open in June 2017 in a 22-story tower atop Charlotte’s EpiCentre entertainment, dining and retail development, occupying floors 5-12 and 14-21, respectively, and featuring a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is bringing two new hotels to Charlotte, both slated for fall or late 2017 debuts. The 216-room Kimpton Downtown Charlotte will offer 9,175 square feet of meeting space, including 4,000-square-foot ballroom and five conference rooms, as well as a 180-seat restaurant and large indoor/outdoor rooftop bar. The 128-room Kimpton Charlotte Dilworth/South End Hotel will feature 4,500 square feet of meeting and event space, plus restaurant, outdoor pool and bar, and rooftop area.

In October 2016, Marriott introduced its real-time, guest-driven M-Beta “innovation incubator” concept at the 446-room Charlotte Marriott City Center, which offers 10 meeting rooms and 23,106 square feet of total space

Through the 10-year, $2.5 billion “Destination CLT” plan, Charlotte Douglas International Airport will add an elevated roadway and pedestrian tunnels by summer 2018, with concourse, terminal and runway expansions to follow.

CABARRUS COUNTY

Opened in December 2016, the 115-room Homewood Suites by Hilton Concord-Charlotte offers nearly 600 square feet of meeting space.

Atlanta-based InTown Suites is launching its new upscale UpTown Suites brand in Concord, with an approximately 120-room property slated for spring 2017.
