PROVIDENCIALES, Turks and Caicos

Frits Hannenberg has been named general manager of The Shore Club Turks and Caicos.

The Shore Club opened its doors in December 2016 as the first development on Long Bay Beach with 106 suites, four food and beverage outlets, three pools, and 3,000 square feet of event space on 820 feet of oceanfront.

Since opening under Hannenberg’s leadership the property has received national acclaim, being featured on the cover of Travel + Leisure’s February Caribbean travel issue and on its exclusive “IT list,” and being named as part of the Departures 100, a coveted list of the 100 best new things in the world this year.

Hannenberg oversaw pre-opening and opening development and strategy, project management, and budget and hiring strategy. With an impressive career in hospitality management and familiarity of island life, Hannenberg has managed some of the world’s finest island resorts in places like Mustique in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the British Virgin Islands, St. Lucia, and Frégate Island in the Seychelles.

Hannenberg is an alumnus of the Hotel Management School Maastricht and a native of the Netherlands, and speaks four languages.
