Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center expanded its sales team with the addition of Gayla Welsh as corporate sales manager and Jessica Wrenfrow as event sales manager.
In her new position Welsh is responsible for the resort’s sales efforts to the corporate meetings market in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois.
“Gayla and Jessica are terrific additions to our sales team, and will be wonderful resources for meeting, incentive and event professionals interested in conducting meetings or programs at our award-winning lakefront resort,” said Nathan Wood, director of sales for the resort.
A 25-year hospitality industry veteran, Welsh has extensive sales experience which includes serving for five years as director of group sales for The Lodge at Old Kinderhook in Camdenton, Mo.; director of group sales for The Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark, Mo.; and senior sales manager for 12 years at Tan-Tar-A Resort, Golf Club, Marina & Indoor Waterpark in Osage Beach, Mo.
Her diverse experience also includes serving as regional account manager for MedFare in Osage Beach, Mo., and as community education coordinator for Lake Career & Technical Center in Camdenton, Mo.
As the resort’s new event sales manager, Wrenfrow is responsible for assisting meeting professionals, association executives, incentive specialists, business executives and event planners in the coordination of meetings, programs and events at the resort. She specializes in coordinating galas and weddings.
Prior to joining the resort, Wrenfrow served for four years as hospitality services instructor at Arkansas State University-Newport in Jonesboro, Ark. Previous to that, she was adjunct instructor at Ozarks College, where she taught developmental courses to prepare students for future classes.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences from College of the Ozarks and a Master of Science in Human Environmental Services, with an emphasis on Hospitality, from the University of Arkansas.
Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center features 301 guest rooms and suites, 43,500 square feet of meeting space all on one level and many scenic outdoor venues. There are 20 meeting rooms, including the 32,000-square-foot Great Hall, and three corporate board rooms in addition to the Executive Board Room and a private 54-seat theater for special presentations. Other amenities include Spa Chateau, full-service Chateau Marina, fitness center, two lighted tennis courts, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, hiking and biking trails. The resort has received the coveted AAA Four Diamond rating for 19 consecutive years.
