VisitDallas announced the promotion of Mary Grimley to vice president of sales.

For 14 years, Grimley has proudly served VisitDallas as an accomplished member of the sales team. The promotion comes on the heels of VisitDallas’ latest campaign, Dallas Delivers, aimed at meeting and event planners.

“We could not be more pleased with Mary’s outstanding tenure at VisitDallas,” said Bradley Kent, chief sales officer for VisitDallas. “Her many years of experience and dedication to our organization make her a natural fit for her new role, and we are very excited to see the many ways she will continue to grow Dallas as a convention destination.”

Grimley’s career and experience in hospitality sales spans three decades. At VisitDallas, Grimley has held numerous roles. She began as a salesperson until her promotion to director of the Washington D.C. sales office.

For the past two and a half years Grimley has served as director of group sales. Prior, Grimley worked for Starwood Hotels & Resorts for 15 years, holding sales positions in Dallas, New Orleans and Hawaii and ending her time as director of global accounts at the Starwood global sales office in Washington, D.C. Grimley is a member of PCMA and serves on the ASAE Meetings and Exposition Council.

“I am thrilled to be able to work for such a wonderful city every day. Dallas continues to rapidly grow and develop, providing us with more opportunities and experiences to sell,” said Grimley. “I am honored to have this new position, and I look forward to helping continue a legacy of growth at VisitDallas.”
