Hilton New Orleans Riverside announced the appointments of Randy Piebes as the new director of food and beverage and Sarah Wexler as the new director of events and catering for the 1,622-room property. Piebes and Wexler join the hotel’s new Executive Chef Mark Quitney in leading food and beverage services and building on the success of the hotel’s meetings and events program.

As director of food and beverage, Piebes will manage the food and beverage program for the property as well as banquet and catering for more than 130,000 square feet of meetings and event space.

Prior to joining Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Piebes spent four years with Capital Hilton in Washington D.C., where he held the role of director of food and beverage. His prior experience with Hilton includes Washington Hilton and serving on the opening teams of Hilton Baltimore and Hilton Orlando.

“With 13 years of experience with Hilton hotels under his belt, Randy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the hospitality industry,” said David Piscola, general manager at Hilton New Orleans Riverside. “He will be an instrumental piece in the continued elevation of our food and beverage experience and service delivery for our guests.”

Hilton New Orleans Riverside has also tapped Sarah Wexler as director of events and catering, where she will be responsible for overseeing all catering operations on property including event planning and execution.

Wexler brings more than 10 years of event experience with Hilton Worldwide, most recently serving as the complex assistant director of events and catering for Hilton San Francisco Union Square and Parc 55 San Francisco. Wexler’s prior experience includes an array of positions in event services at Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego.

“Sarah will play an integral role in expanding Hilton New Orleans Riverside’s presence within New Orleans’s catering and events market,” said Piscola. “Her extensive experience and passion will bring great value to the events and catering teams as we continue to provide exceptional conferences, meetings and events.”
