"We are pleased to welcome two leaders with a demonstrated track record of exemplary performance and proven success to Pullman Miami Airport," said Heather McCrory, executive vice president of operations, North & Central America, AccorHotels. "We look forward to working with Dan and Adam, and are confident their strategic approach and extensive market expertise will be instrumental to the hotel's success."

McDermott brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his role at the helm of Pullman Miami Airport. As general manager, he will be overseeing operations at the property, providing strategic direction to all departments and leading a team of 250 colleagues, with the ultimate goal of delivering unparalleled service to guests.

McDermott joins the hotel from the Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel where he also served as general manager. Prior to that, McDermott also held general manager positions at the Marenas Beach Resort Miami in Sunny Isles, Fla.; Hotel Irvine in Irvine, Calif.; and El Conquistador, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, in Puerto Rico.

In his new position as director of sales and marketing, Leon will be responsible for generating new sales initiatives that increase revenue for the property, as well as developing marketing strategies that are innovative and tactical to keep up with today's evolving hospitality marketplace.

With more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Leon has a concrete history of success in sales and revenue management, having led sales teams for various renowned Miami hotels such as the Hotel Colonnade and the Hyatt Regency, both in Coral Gables, Fla., as well as the Hilton Palm Beach Oceanfront Resort, Fla., and Wyndham International from 1997 to 2001.

As the first Pullman hotel to debut in the North American market, Pullman Miami Airport highlights style, art, design and connectivity. The 281-room property completed a comprehensive transformation in 2017 and features more than 11,000 square feet of event space accommodates groups of up to 400 guests and boasts a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for private events.
