Tell us about the event.
ConferenceDirect’s Annual Partner Meeting was held March 25-29, 2018 in Los Angeles at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. The event this year was particularly special as the company celebrated its 20th Anniversary. APM is an annual event, held at various locations around the U.S., that provides an opportunity for over 700 of our Partners and over 200 of our top producing Associates to engage in quality face-to-face time. APM is also an educational event as there are breakout sessions covering popular industry topics, best practices for specific market segments and an all-partner General Session with multiple keynote speakers. The event is always productive, valuable and memorable for our Partners and Associates.

What did Los Angeles do to show off the local flavor of the destination?
LA Tourism and the Loews Hollywood Hotel were fantastic partners from the beginning planning stages to the very end. They helped us create the best APM we have had to date. Prior to APM, we conduct Team Meetings for the Associates to attend, and LA Tourism helped facilitate unique experiences across all of Los Angeles from downtown restaurants to coastal bars and Universal, to name a few. During APM, the tradeshow and larger sessions were held in the Ray Dolby Ballroom, which is adjacent to the Loews Hollywood. The Dolby Ballroom has been the backdrop for an array of Hollywood’s elite gatherings and special events, including the Academy Awards. After the all-partner General Session, the Loews Hollywood team hosted a cocktail hour on the pool deck, with catering by Wolfgang Puck, that offered some of the best views overlooking the iconic Hollywood sign and downtown skyline.
