Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa, Philippines launched Collabor8, an interactive teambuilding program that utilizes the resort’s secluded island location and surrounding natural beauty.

The new initiative offers eight different options for groups meeting at the resort to choose from with varying goals. These include CSR options like taking care of the local reef and supporting marine life and exploration options like a photography challenge to find the most Instagrammable spots on the island.

The adventures focus on developing strategy, communication and creativity, or improving processes and time management. They can also include physical activities, CSR initiatives and mental challenges. Activities take place either outside on the beaches and jungles of Boracay Island or inside at the resort.

Additional Shangri-La Boracay Resort teambuilding experiences include:

  • Lost in Paradise, a scavenger hunt and raft making activity, where teams must find materials and then create a raft to escape the island.
  • Clash of Clans, a beachfront game of capture the flag.

For groups that want to help protect the island or assist those in need there is:

  • Project C.O.R.A.L. to build new habitats for fish living on the reef off the island
  • Soap for Hope to recycle soap for the local community.

According to the resort, The Spy Academy sleuthing challenge is perfect for problem solvers and sports enthusiasts will like the competition of The Playoffs.

Once the challenges are completed, the resort’s event specialists can customize celebrations to commemorate the successful experience.

Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort is set on a sheltered bay on the island of Boracay’s northern coastline. The resort holds 2019 guest rooms and 6,800 square feet of event space.
