Even with a checklist or using an outside vendor to help select destinations and sites for meetings and events, something important may be forgotten. Some of us, after not asking a few questions, have learned by experience what to include in our RFPs to receive proposals that will lead us to contracts that are inclusive of what we need. Others, using e-RFPs, may just check boxes without considering the nuances of their groups and meetings and of the venue in which the meeting or event will occur. In this webinar, we’ll explore how planners can provide information about their meetings and audiences including those with visible and invisible disabilities that will adequately prepare a city or hotel (or conference center or museum or restaurant) to respond with a proposal specifically created for a particular meeting or event and ask better questions to ensure they know enough to make calculated decisions before selecting and contracting venues.

Join Meetings Focus and meetings industry educator Joan Eisenstodt, chief strategist for Eisenstodt Associates ( for this one-hour webinar that will help ensure think of all contingencies on your site inspection, before signing the contract.

Participants will learn the following:

  • What, beyond the typical (number of guest rooms and meeting rooms, etc.) and atypical (owners, management company, bed types, accommodations for people with disabilities, destination infrastructure, safety, risk and contingency plans, etc.) to ask in an RFP.
  • How to ensure proposals will address your needs rather than receiving a generic proposal.
  • Critical information meeting planners can glean to prepare for contract inclusion.
