Chicagoland Marriott Readies for Renovation

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.

Arbor Lodging Partners acquired the 398-room Chicago Marriott Schaumburg. This is the first property in the Chicagoland market for the hotel investment and management company.

Upon acquisition, Arbor Lodging Partners will begin execution of a significant renovation and repositioning of the hotel. The renovation will include a modern update to all guest rooms and guest bathrooms, a reimagined and contemporary lobby and dining experience, enhancements to meeting facilities, and introduction of Marriott’s popular M Club Lounge for elite members of the Marriott Rewards program.

"The decision to add the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg to our hotel collection stems much deeper than simply adding another 398 rooms to the portfolio," said Vamsi Bonthala, CEO of Arbor Lodging Partners. "This investment in our local community directly aligns with Arbor’s investment strategy, growth plans and values.

"We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to make our entry into the competitive Chicago market for some time and when presented with [the already successful hotel], we knew it was the right choice for Arbor.”

The hotel houses over 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the BlueFire Grille, a full-service, American restaurant serving up internationally-influenced dishes and Bevande Lounge, the hotel’s on-site bar.

The Chicago Marriott Schaumburg also features its very own coffee house, the Bean Counter.
