Convene opened its newest location in Chicago’s Citadel Center.

The company, which offers meeting and event spaces, workspaces and hospitality amenities, plans to open three additional locations in Chicago.

The new Chicago space occupies 50,000 square feet of space on the first two floors of the Citadel Center, with meeting and event space on the second floor.

The ground floor will have common space and a café featuring Convene’s For Five Coffee Roasters. The second-floor function space can accommodate 280 people.

“We’ve seen incredible demand from the Chicago market for our growing network of premium places to work, meet, and host inspiring events,” said Ryan Simonetti, co-founder of Convene. "Convene’s purpose-built meeting and event spaces provide tremendous value to building owners and tenants, as well as local business community.

"We’re thrilled to help amplify the tenant and guest experience at Citadel Center with two floors of our elevated meeting, event and work spaces," he added.

Convene's Next Chicago Locations

Next up in Chicago for the company is the 91,000-square-foot space at the redeveloped Willis Tower, set to open in the Spring of 2020.

Convene partnered with Sterling Bay, an investment and development company, to open the third and fourth Chicago-planned spaces, which will total 185,000 square feet. These will be located in Fulton Market and The Loop neighborhoods. Convene will partner with Sterling Bay to manage the building amenities, meeting and workspaces and technology at both locations.

The company will occupy part of the sixth floor and the full seventh and eight floors of the 333 North Green Street and the ground through fourth floors of the 311 West Monroe building.

These spaces will also include a cafe and bar, meeting and event space as well as work and common space.
