New Jersey

The 180-room Hilton Garden Inn Camden Waterfront became the first hotel in Camden in more than 50 years when it welcomed guests in December 2020. The hotel includes meetings and event spaces, indoor and outdoor dining, and other amenities. To facilitate low-contact meetings and events, the hotel features over 4,100 square feet of multiuse space, equipped with projection screens, 65-inch smart TVs and built-in audio-visual equipment.

An executive board room, as well as meeting rooms that each seat 12 guests, create space for businesses to gather safely. A large ballroom and meeting space that can accommodate groups up to 240 people max (without COVID restrictions) are on-site to meet the increasing demand from Camden’s growing business community. Of the hotel’s 180 guest rooms, 20 rooms are custom-built suites that include a kitchenette for visitors checking in for a longer stay.

The hotel is conveniently located near prominent business headquarters, such as Subaru, American Water Works and Campbell Soup Company; recreational venues like BB&T Arena; and institutes of higher education and healthcare systems like Rowan University, Rutgers University—Camden and Cooper University Health Care System.

Pennsylvania 

Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard recently completed renovations to its public and meeting spaces in an ongoing effort to enhance the guest experience. The five-story, 212-room hotel is among the first in South Philadelphia to be LEED-certified and offers eco-friendly accommodations.

Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard offers just over 1,800 square feet of total event space, which was renovated to accommodate new audiovisual technology and allow for various meeting sizes. This includes three event rooms, the largest of which holds 60 guests, along with three breakout rooms.

The hotel is located in South Philadelphia’s Navy Yard that is home to over 20 acres of parks, outdoor dining options, public art and a variety of outdoor events. Courtyard Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard offers a prime location in the waterfront business district and is a short drive or shuttle ride to and from Center City, Philadelphia.

HRI Properties and Marriott International’s Autograph Collection announced in early January the expected Spring 2021 opening of The Industrialist Hotel, located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s downtown Golden Triangle District. Housed in the 18-story historic Arrott building, the hotel aims to blend old and new, with reimagined interiors inspired by Pittsburgh’s famous history as a steel capital.

The boutique hotel’s accommodations and amenities comprise 124 guestrooms, including 28 suites, a lobby bar, fitness center and forthcoming signature modern American restaurant The Rebel Room. The Industrialist will also feature more than 1,200 square feet of centrally located multi-purpose event space for up to 78 guests.

The Industrial’s lobby and lounge, the social hub of the hotel, will be located on the second floor, where guests will find a DIY workshop meets bar, featuring a “maker menu” with tools and kits to create a variety of projects to take home, embodying the maker spirit for which Pittsburgh is known.

Virginia

Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites is opening in February as the only hotel on the Chesapeake Bay with its own private beach. The property, near First Landing State Park and Virginia Beach Sportsplex, will offer 295 guestrooms across nine floors and panoramic water views.

Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites includes 12,257 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space for meetings and events of every kind. The spaces, including six event rooms and eight breakout rooms, are equipped with the latest audiovisual services and teleconferencing technology and can accommodate up to 350 attendees.

Groups have the opportunity to participate in a unique breakout activity called “A Shucking Good Time!” at the hotel’s Bayfront restaurant, Tin Cup Kitchen + Oyster Bar. As part of this interactive class, attendees will learn more about the restaurants signature item—oysters—including how they are farmed and the different flavor profiles, as well as the wine to pair with this delicacy.
