Hyatt Regency Tamaya Unveils Refreshed Meeting Spaces

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, located on the Santa Ana Pueblo, near Albuquerque, completed the renovation to its meeting spaces. The renovation concludes the resort’s multi-phase renovation project which includes updates to its guest rooms, lobby and public spaces.

“The changes to the resort’s meeting spaces marks the final stage of a complete renovation to Hyatt Regency Tamaya, providing a new and updated travel experience while preserving the vision and aesthetics of the Pueblo,” said Claudia Wattenberg, general manager at the resort.

“The new meeting space is welcoming and vibrant while incorporating the latest in technology," she added. "We are thrilled to reveal the re-energized look to our group guests.”

The renovation updated each of the resort’s 12 indoor meeting spaces including the prefunction foyer, Tamaya Ballroom, breakout rooms and boardrooms. Brand-new carpet showcases an abstract design with bright earth tones such as vibrant orange, deep red, and purple, as well as vivid turquoise accents. The changes also include new wall coverings and window treatments adding light grey drapery and a dark brown finish at the valance.

Additionally, the meeting spaces now include all new glass and doors, LED light systems, and updated audio and visual equipment.

The meeting space renovation complements the $5 million renovation to the resort’s guest rooms completed in 2017, and the $2.5 million renovation to the resort’s reception, living room, hallways and public spaces completed in 2018.

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa offers 29,000 square feet of indoor and 25,000 square feet of outdoor flexible meeting space.

Featured meeting venues at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa include:

  • the Cottonwood Pavilion, an elegant space nestled among the cottonwood bosque
  • the Tamaya Ballroom, a 12,000-square-foot versatile ballroom that partitions into eight separate rooms
  • the Puma and Wolf spaces, with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring panoramic views of the Sandia Mountains
  • the culturally-influenced House of the Hummingbird, a 7,500-square-foot lawn surrounded by a replica of indigenous ruins
  • the Sunrise Amphitheater

Meeting ttendees can take part in the resort’s Srai Wi program with cultural activities led by members of the Santa Ana Pueblo, as well as feel-good group volunteer and equestrian opportunities through the on-site Tamaya Horse Rehabilitation Program.

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa is located on 500 acres on the Pueblo of Santa Ana, situated between Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico and is adjacent to the Sandia Mountains along the Rio Grande.
