Jim Oliver was appointed general manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale.
In his new position, Oliver oversees operations of the 192-room hotel and private residences.
For the past three years, Oliver served as regional vice president of operations for the Southeast, Caribbean and Latin American regions for the company.
