LOUISVILLE, Ky.
The Hyatt Regency Louisville is showing off its $5.8 million renovation, which features a new canopied entrance and a new ground floor restaurant called Sway, short for the Southern Way.
“The renovation will help make the hotel a relaxing place for our loyal business travelers to network, and a new, trendy destination for dining or lounging while, at the same time, allowing the hotel to evolve as a meeting and convention site,” said Donna Marquez, general manager.
The main lobby has a new look, including a new front desk, which has an artistic glass wall as a backdrop. The lobby improvements also includes an upgraded elevator bay, new furniture and new flooring. Another key feature to the lobby renovation is a new Hyatt Stay Fit fitness center, adjacent to the lobby. The center was doubled in size to 1,200 square feet.
The project also included installation of innovative green infrastructure, including special pavement surrounding the hotel that will allow storm water to soak into the soil, as well as drains designed to capture rainwater and send it directly into the ground.
