Editor's Pick: Meet Better

Meet Better: 167 Easy Ways to Make Your Events More Environmentally and Socially Responsible

Three of the foremost sustainable meetings experts in the industry have teamed up to author this beginners’ guide to planning and executing green meetings.

Penned by MeetGreen’s Nancy Zavada and Shawna McKinley, along with Meeting Change’s Mariela McIlwraith, Meet Better provides an easy first stepping stone to producing meetings and events that are friendly both to the Earth and those who call it home.

The book is divided into three sections: The first deals with logistics and how to integrate sustainability into the core elements of a meeting program; the second, how program elements can reflect sustainability; and the last offers steps to help planners further sustainability efforts in their events and organizations.

“This book is all about getting started,” Zavada explains on MeetGreen’s website. “These are the easy, low-hanging fruit to make your event more environmentally and socially responsible. Hopefully, it will help spark excitement for sustainable events that will encourage you to continue on the path.”

You can find an excerpt of the book, and it is available to order on MeetGreen’s website.
