Copper Mountain Breaks Ground on New Hotel

Copper Mountain, a POWDR resort, began construction on a new 127-room hotel with an anticipated completion in 2020.

“We are beyond excited to offer guests a new lodging option for staying and playing at Copper Mountain,” said Dustin Lyman, president and general manager of Copper Mountain.

“The hotel will be a significant new addition to the resort’s Center Village and will provide easy access to unmatched Colorado adventure,” he added.

The hotel will boast views of Copper Mountain and the Sky Chutes, and will feature an outdoor patio nestled along West Ten Mile Creek complete with fire pits and hot tubs.

“The design of the hotel provides an intimate mountain setting while incorporating some of the new enhancements recently made throughout Copper,” said Graeme Bilenduke, director of development at Copper Mountain. “A blend of natural and modern finishes is used cohesively in both the interior and exterior, and with the hotel’s proximity to Center Village, guests will be a short walk from newly cultivated dining, outdoor adventure and retail.”

Copper Mountain Resort is located in the Rocky Mountains 75 miles west of Denver. There are three village areas filled with retail outlets, restaurants, bars and activities, as well as lodging.

Copper Mountain Resort features multiple venue options for meetings and events.

The Copper Conference Center has 15,500 square feet of meeting space for up 750 guests as well as a slope-side deck for outdoor events.
