SkyBeach Resort, a beachfront resort on the southern tip of St. Petersburg, Florida, unveiled a series of enhancements to its lobby and SkyBeach Event Center. The hotel’s new lobby features a double-height atrium foyer, floor-to-ceiling bookcases and a custom accent wall.
The SkyBeach Event Center is a 6,290-square-foot event venue that can be accessed via the main lobby or an exterior entrance at the front of the resort. The space features a 544-square-foot lobby that can be used for registration or check-ins. The venue also has a 4,228-square-foot Grand Ballroom that is comprised of three smaller venues—Banyan Tree, Royal Palm and Ocean Breeze—which together can accommodate up to 250 attendees.

The city of Miami Beach has secured $392 million in construction funding to help advance the development of the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach hotel. The 800-room, 17-story property will be located adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center and is set to open in late 2027. The hotel will feature resort-style amenities and serve as Miami Beach’s first major convention hotel, offering direct access to the newly renovated convention center.

Georgia
Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead has completed its multi-phased renovation project, which brings enhanced accommodations, a reimagined lobby, a 24-hour market and a new lounge to the business and shopping district property.

The Fabled is the property’s new lounge serving cocktails inspired by epic literary and mythic tales, and the revitalized Cassis restaurant offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu along with views of the hotel’s Japanese Zen Garden.
Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead also offers over 42,000 square feet of modernized meeting space, including the newly transformed 9,700-square-foot Grand Ballroom, 3,066-square-foot Buckhead Ballroom, 3,650-square-foot Highland Ballroom and more.

Texas
Located on 405 acres near the city of Austin, Texas, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa recently unveiled the Riverbend Event Barn, a new 6,076-square-foot event venue that features amenities like vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and expansive windows.
The venue offers 2,300 square feet of patio space along with a 3,000-square-foot event lawn and is situated near the resort’s Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens. The hotel also features 490 guest rooms and suites, an onsite water park, eight restaurants and bars, an equestrian facility and has a total of 300,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston recently completed renovations to its meetings and event space, which included enhancements of the lighting, installing new artwork, installing new Bluetooth monitors in multiple meeting rooms and upgrading the furniture. The resort has invested over $1 million into these improvements and other renovations of its larger meeting spaces like the Compass and Del Lago Ballroom.
The 335-room resort also features a 3.5-acre waterpark, 18-hole golf course, six onsite restaurants and bars and an onsite spa. The property has a total of 72,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Meet in an Island Paradise
On the island of Islamorada just southeast of the Florida coast sits the Islander Resort, which recently completed upgrades to its 114 guest rooms and suites, amenities, programming, dining outlets and event spaces.
Spread across 24 acres, the Islander Resort features amenities such as a freshwater and saltwater pool, five onsite dining options, a 9-hole putting course and courts for pickleball, basketball, volleyball and bocce ball. The hotel also offers activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding along with guided excursions to the world’s third-largest barrier reef.

Islander Resort has over 129,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space and can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees. The resort’s indoor event spaces have been revamped to feature new light fixtures and updated flooring. Prominent venues include the Hibiscus Hall grand ballroom, Palmetto boardroom, Palm Terrace and the Great Lawn.
The resort also incorporates sustainable practices throughout the property to help support the delicate Florida Keys ecosystem, including the largest solar installation in Islamorada, an onsite water reclamation system and energy-efficiency upgrades such as new air conditioning systems and hurricane-resistant doors and windows.
