Director with 30 Years of Experience Returns to Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority

Stephanie Mays-Boyd

The Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA) announced that Stephanie Mays-Boyd will return to PCCA as director of external affairs.  

Mays-Boyd will serve as a liaison between the convention center and its external stakeholders, which inlcude community organizations, civic leaders, elected officials, business partners and philanthropic groups.

Mays-Boyd joined PCCA as an event coordinator in 1996. She spent nearly 30 years across a variety of roles at the convention center. She returns to PCCA from ASM Global, where she served as director of sales and marketing. In her previous role, Mays-Boyd was responsible for managing a sales team that generated $7 million in annual revenue.

She is also involved in the Philadelphia community, currently serving as secretary of the board of directors for the African American Museum of Philadelphia as well as an advisory board member for PHLDiversity.  

“She brings a strong passion, commitment, and deep wealth of knowledge to her work with the center and has played a key contributor to the ongoing success of our facility and the economic impact we bring to the region’s broader hospitality sector,” said John J. McNichol, president and CEO of the PCCA, in a press release. “We look forward to Stephanie bringing that same energy and dedication to her new role as our director of external affairs.”
