MGM Resorts International has made several changes to its executive leadership team in preparation for the company’s next phase of growth.
Following Corey Sanders’ retirement announcement from his role as chief operating officer (COO), a role that will be vacated at the end of the year, the Las Vegas resort operator tapped Ayesha Molino as chief operating officer, effective January 1.
Molino most recently served as president and COO of MGM’s Las Vegas properties Adria and Vdara, leading all property operations, marketing, human resources, guest experience, sales, F&B and more for the resorts. She also currently serves as MGM’s chief public affairs officer where she manages government affairs, corporate communications and public relations for the company.
Molino came to MGM Resorts International in 2017 from the U.S. Senate, where she served as chief counsel to former Senator and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

"Ayesha's ability to unite teams, drive results and navigate challenges makes her the perfect leader to succeed Corey as COO. I am confident she will continue to help shape our future growth and success," said Bill Hornbuckle, president and CEO of MGM Resorts, in a press release.
MGM also appointed Gary Fritz as chief commercial officer and president of MGM Digital, effective immediately. Fritz takes on the new role as MGM looks to grow in the digital and iGaming markets.
Before stepping into his new role, Fritz served as the president of MGM Resorts International Interactive where he was accountable for evaluating and leading all strategic digital gaming initiatives globally.
"Gary has been instrumental in establishing and advancing our digital strategy through acquisitions, strategic partnerships and organic expansion of our BetMGM brand into new international markets like Brazil," Hornbuckle said. "He is a visionary leader with keen insights and instincts, and his new role will bring together all of digital plus gaming, marketing and advertising.”
