When Estrel Berlin Founder Ekkehard Streletzki initiated the groundbreaking of what is now Germany’s largest hotel, he had a vision for a complex that went beyond standard accommodations. Inspired by large-scale American hotel complexes, what followed and thrived for decades to come was an all-in-one destination that changed the landscape of meetings and conventions in the German capital.

Comprised of Estrel Hotel, Estrel Congress Center and Estrel Show Theatre, the Estrel Berlin campus is a meetings powerhouse. With 1,125 rooms and suites, Estrel Hotel is the largest hotel in Germany, and is connected to 323,000 square feet of modern, flexible space at the Estrel Congress Center, which can comfortably host up to 15,000 people for tradeshows, conventions and meetings. The Estrel Show Theatre brings Las Vegas-style shows to the mix, providing incredible entertainment to visitors and locals.
And it’s all about to reach new heights.
In late 2026, the new Estrel Tower will debut, adding 522 more guest rooms, lofts and suites, plus state-of-the-art event spaces and dining options. It will be the capital city’s tallest building when complete—a symbol of Estrel Berlin’s further elevated status as world-class destination for groups in one of Europe’s most prominent cities for meetings and conventions.
Meeting spaces within Estrel Tower will include the multifunctional Estrel Forum on the ground floor, stretching more than 10,000 square feet, and 10 Sky meeting rooms on the 41st and 42nd floors with tall ceilings and sweeping views of the surrounding area.
The expansion embodies the pioneering spirit of Streletzki. Not only is the Tower set to be Berlin’s tallest building, but it also aims to be one of the most sustainable structures, chasing a LEED Platinum certification via features like green roofs with photovoltaic systems, wildflower meadows, a bicycle parking garage, carbon-neutral district heating and the creation of a new park along the Neukölln Ship Canal.
Art is also an element that sets the venue apart. The extensive collection of contemporary art from both Berlin- and international-based artists at Estrel Berlin is displayed in the atrium and throughout the hotel and convention areas.
Innovation and tradition combine to create memorable, impactful experiences at Estrel Berlin. Meet the team in person at IMEX America October 7-9, or visit estrel.com to learn more.
