Nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the heart of Greater Palm Springs, Indian Wells, California offers meeting planners a destination where luxury, convenience and natural beauty come together effortlessly. With a walkable resort layout, personalized service and inspiring desert scenery, the city continues to redefine what it means to truly host Meetings Unmatched.
A Walkable, Resort-Driven Destination
One of Indian Wells’ greatest advantages is its rare combination of proximity and luxury. Four premier resorts, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa and Indian Wells Resort Hotel, sit just minutes from one another, allowing planners to design multi-property programs that feel connected rather than complicated.
Together, these resorts offer approximately 1,460 guest rooms and more than 250,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Ballrooms, outdoor lawns, poolside terraces and garden courtyards allow planners to create programs that transition seamlessly from productive daytime sessions to relaxed evening networking events.
The Heart of the Meeting Experience
At the center of many gatherings is Indian Wells Golf Resort, home to two award-winning championship golf courses and expansive event lawns overlooking the surrounding mountains. The resort regularly hosts receptions, outdoor dinners and team-building experiences, giving planners a memorable offsite venue that remains conveniently close to the city’s resorts.
This compact, connected environment creates an atmosphere that feels both elevated and relaxed—ideal for executive retreats, incentive program, and collaborative corporate meetings.
Continued Investment in Hospitality
Indian Wells continues to invest in new experiences that enhance the meetings environment.
Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa completed a comprehensive transformation in late 2023, introducing refreshed villas, reimagined outdoor spaces and a full-service spa experience. Its signature restaurant, Grapefruit Basil, has quickly become a standout dining venue, blending coastal-inspired flavors with desert charm.
Meanwhile, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells recently completed a $64 million revitalization that includes redesigned guest rooms and the debut of Tia Carmen, the acclaimed restaurant by celebrity chef Angelo Sosa, celebrating indigenous ingredients and modern desert cuisine.
A Culinary Scene That Elevates Meetings
Beyond the resorts, Indian Wells continues to grow as a dining destination for both visitors and locals.
At the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Nobu Indian Wells now operates year-round, bringing Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s world-renowned Japanese-Peruvian cuisine to the desert in a lively yet refined atmosphere.
Nearby, Kestrel Kitchen + Lounge, led by chef and television personality Richard Blais, offers a creative take on modern American cuisine and has become a popular choice for group dinners and private events following a day of meetings.
Easy Access, Stress-Free Arrival
Indian Wells is located just 20 minutes from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), one of Southern California’s most traveler-friendly airports. In recent months, the airport has expanded service with several new nonstop routes and increased capacity from key U.S. markets.
Recent airline service additions include:
- Alaska Airlines nonstop service to Santa Rosa (STS)
- Delta Air Lines nonstop service to Austin (AUS)
- Southwest Airlines nonstop service to Chicago–Midway (MDW)
- United Airlines nonstop service to Newark (EWR)
- American Airlines nonstop service to Charlotte (CLT)
Additional capacity improvements include earlier seasonal service launches and increased flight frequencies to cities such as Atlanta, New York, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Combined with short drive times, convenient parking and a walkable destination layout, these expanded air options make Indian Wells an accessible and stress-free destination for meetings and events.
Exclusive Incentives for Meeting Planners
Meeting planners hosting programs in Indian Wells can also take advantage of The Indian Wells Collection Incentive, which adds additional value on top of the Visit Greater Palm Springs meetings program.
Groups booking 10 or more rooms on peak nights between Sunday and Thursday may combine the Visit Greater Palm Springs incentive with an additional $5 per room-night rebate for qualifying summer or winter programs within The Indian Wells Collection.
Planners may also choose between a rebate structure or a custom Incentive opportunity when hosting an event at the Indian Wells Golf Resort.
These incentives can be applied toward meeting expenses such as venue rentals, food and beverage or audiovisual services—helping planners deliver high-impact experiences while maximizing their event budget.
RFPs must be submitted by December 31, 2026, for qualifying 2025–2026 programs.
