The Tour Begins
Our first stop after checking in was a tour of the hotel and the grounds ending up at Stix Authentic Sushi for a delicious dinner featuring the Hammock Beach Roll, with tempura, escolar, avocado and eel sauce, and the decadent Osaka Crispy Lobster Roll. After a nightcap at the lobby bar, it was off to bed knowing I’d be up early for a round of golf.
My morning began with a mouthwatering omelet at the Atlantic Grille. Breakfast choices were vast—from the healthy Super Food Bowl bursting with chia seeds and fresh seasonal fruit to the indulgence of a Crab Cake Benedict—all enjoyed with panoramic ocean views.

When Chef de Cuisine Bryan Down takes the helm for lunch and dinner, expect a culinary adventure: Think expertly prepared wild-caught fish, perfectly cooked filet mignon or a succulent, dry-aged, bone-in pork ribeye.
Off to the Golf Links
After breakfast, I laced up my golf shoes, grabbed my lucky putter and made my way to the clubhouse for a golf adventure on the legendary Tom Watson Signature-designed Conservatory Course. This isn’t your typical Florida golf—it’s a Scottish-style links course with dramatic scenery that makes every shot an adventure.
I didn’t shoot under 100 but I had to pat myself on the back. It’s a tough course—and with all the hills, I’m sure I at least got my steps in!
After a round of golf, it was off to The Spa for a Swedish massage. With more than 7,500 square feet of calming space and 10 treatment rooms, guests can indulge in massages, facials or the signature Coconut Lime Blossom Renewal Wrap for ultimate relaxation. Many of the treatments use products enriched with sea minerals. There’s also a sauna, steam room and a eucalyptus-inhalation room.
We sampled Loggerheads Sports Pub for a draft beer before our decadent dinner at Delfinos Italian Chophouse, known for its Bistecca Fiorentina, a 24-oz. porterhouse with herb-roasted potatoes. Delfinos’ extensive wine list has been cited by Wine Spectator several years in a row. The private dining room above the main dining room is a hidden gem featuring a cozy atmosphere accommodating up to 24.
Meetings Set the Stage
Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa offers 50,000 square feet of contemporary event venues ideal for extravagant social celebrations, corporate retreats, destination weddings or incentive rewards.
While you can certainly spend your free time lounging on the beach, the resort presents a range of wellness offerings, including meditation, yoga, tai chi and qigong classes. A large, state-of-the-art fitness center and a wide range of fitness classes, including spin classes, are available.
The Fantasy Pool Complex offers a lazy river, waterslide, sandcastle building, food and beverage service, multiple pools, an adult pool, a large hot tub, a zero-entry beach pool, beach volleyball and a poolside bar.
In addition to the beach, guests may also enjoy the nine-hole putting course, nature walks, bicycling and a gratis photo session during their visit.
