SF Giants' Revetria Wins San Francisco Hotel Award

Stephen Revetria, senior vice president of Giants Enterprises and past chairman of the San Francisco Travel Association and member of the Executive Committee of the U.S. Travel Association, among other meetings industry leadership roles, was awarded the 2018 Peter Goldman Award of Excellence from the San Francisco hotel community.

Established in 1989, the award “honors an individual who exemplifies expertise, devotion, and leadership to raise the level of service and perception of San Francisco’s hospitality industry.” Revetria is only the fourth non-hotelier to have ever received the award.

“Stephen Revetria is a champion for San Francisco and our hotel industry, he epitomizes the spirit of why this award was created.” said Kevin Carroll, executive director of the Hotel Council of San Francisco.

Revetria’s recent meetings-industry-specific work includes his role as co-chair of the 2015 MPI WEC Host Committee, current member of the board of directors of MPI and past-chairman of the MPI Foundation.

In his role with Giants Enterprises, the entrepreneurial arm of the San Francisco Giants and manager of non-baseball events at AT&T Park, Revetria oversees strategy and vision for Giants Enterprises.

His work supporting the local hospitality industry on behalf of Giants Enterprises includes sponsoring numerous local meetings industry events at the park, as well as events for the Hotel Council and the annual Hotel Heroes Night at AT&T Park, which features an on-field ceremony honoring award winners. Giants Enterprises also provides support for the sustainability work of the Hotel Council and its Women in Leadership Forum.

Revetria will accept the award at the 2018 Peter Goldman Award of Excellence Luncheon Aug. 10, 2018, at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.
