The JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa completed its new 15,000-square-foot Paradise Ballroom, including an additional 20,000 square feet of outdoor and prefunction space, bringing the resort’s total meeting and event space to 95,000 square feet.

The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa will open on July 26. The resort, located in north San Diego County, will feature 208 guest rooms, including 28 suites with ocean views; a signature restaurant offering farm-fresh ingredients; a luxury spa and state-of-the-art fitness center; and private rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the coastline.

Live! Hotel Maryland opened and is the first hotel in the world to carry the Live! brand name. The property boasts 310 rooms, including 52 suites; two new restaurants; a day Spa and Salon; a 4,000-seat Event Center; and Club 21, the only private gaming area in a hotel in Maryland.

The Sacramento Convention Center Complex is getting an extreme makeover. The complex includes not only the convention center, but also Memorial Auditorium and the Community Center Theater, which are also used as event space.

Delta Hotels by Marriott Frankfurt Offenbach opened, marking the European debut of the hotel brand. Situated on the left bank of the Main River between Frankfurt city center and Offenbach, the hotel is within easy reach of the city's abundant historic and cultural attractions, and a short stroll from the European Central Bank.

InterContinental launched in Bulgaria with the InterContinental Sofia hotel. The property features 194 guest rooms, including 27 Club rooms and 37 suites. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding city and its vibrant history, from the statue of a girl blowing a dandelion that signifies hope and unity in the lobby, through to the rooms that mimic architectural influences of the 1960s, the design of the hotel truly signifies the unique spirit of Sofia.

Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport opened in southern China’s Guangdong province. The hotel is located on the west side of the terminal hall at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, a five-minute walk from the arrival and departure hall via an indoor pathway.

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, opened Perry Lane Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel. The new hotel is the vision of a fictional muse, Adelaide Harcourt, whose life experiences, travels and love of Savannah inspired the hotel’s design and whimsical art collection, which is eclectic, worldly and peculiar.
