John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts, based here, plans to build an Embassy Suites Hotel, a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and a convention center in Pleasant Grove, Utah, located about 36 miles south of Salt Lake City.
Construction is expected to begin on the 300-suite Embassy Suites Hotel and adjoining convention center in June, with an opening date set for October 2008.
Ground is expected to be broken on the 220-room Courtyard by Marriott in 2008, with completion slated for 2009.
The two hotels and convention center are anticipated to hold more than 100,000 square feet of combined meeting space.
