Silversea Cruises announced that its global vice president of corporate and incentive sales, Sean J. Mahoney, has been named president-elect of the Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE).
The appointment occurred at SITE’s annual board meeting held in Chicago Sept. 22. Mahoney has served on SITE’s international board of directors and executive committee for the last several years. He will serve as president-elect in 2009 and assume the presidency in 2010.
“It is a distinct honor to have been voted SITE’s president-elect,” said Mahoney in a statement. “I look forward to working more closely with the board of directors and our members around the world to further the SITE mission. These talented volunteers sit at the critical intersection between those who seek performance improvement benefits and those who provide extraordinary motivational experiences.”
The nonprofit SITE provides educational seminars and information services to those who design, develop, promote, sell, administer and operate motivational programs as an incentive to increase productivity in business.
