The Washington State Convention Center recently opened The Conference Center (206.694.5000), a new high-end meeting facility. Adjacent to the existing convention center, the new facility features 71,000 square feet that can be configured into as many as 17 meeting rooms. The new meeting space connects to the convention center's existing 205,000 square feet.

Eureka, Nev.'s Eureka Opera House is offering groups an alternate setting for meetings. Though the facility itself is more than 120 years old, the space for conventions and meetings is new and can accommodate up to 200, including the Diamond and Prospect meeting rooms. The meeting rooms also serve as the fine arts gallery for the Opera House's permanent fine arts collection. Groups can also use the Grand Hall Auditorium, which can accommodate 275 theater style or 250 for banquets. Historic elements such as the original projectors from the early days of the silent movies, the first talkies' projector and a carbon-arc spotlight are on display.
