Most unusual aspect of your job: Keeping confidences for many.

Favorite book: A Whole New Mind by Dan Pink for non-fiction; Fiction: usually the book I am reading currently, which today is March by Geraldine Brooks; almost anything written by Harlan Coben.

Favorite food: Is this what would I eat if there were only one food? Hmmm…Good seedy rye toast with sweet butter. (But then I love Thai, Indian, Afghani, Lebanese foods, too.) Oh, and Hostess Snoballs are right up there.

Favorite TV show: M*A*S*H and West Wing for my forever-favorites; current: Rachel Maddow Show

Favorite movie: Harold & Maude

Most unique place you’ve been: Maryhill Museum, for its history and view.

Favorite aspect of the meetings/travel industry: Learning all the time

Pet peeve: Gum-chewers, smokers and those who do them at the same time…aaaaaargh.

One thing about you that most people don’t know: I was a guest on Donahue to talk about parenthood-by-choice.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received in our industry? Get involved.

What’s your favorite local/regional place to take a visitor to your area? The Newseum; it is so chock-full of cool information on all subjects!

Is there anything else you’d like to add that we’ve overlooked? I’m a voracious learner and reader and wish others would do more of that! My “other” interests are social justice and politics, and a desire to help the world be a better place. (The '60s never left me.)
