Even with the departure of their beloved LeBron "King" James from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat, Ohio has one of the country's most vibrant sports scenes. Its heritage of past greatness spurs images of Cleveland's Jim Brown plowing through linebackers or Cincinnati's "Big Red Machine" dominating baseball in the mid-'70s.

Happenings – Ohio

Rock Ohio Caesars (ROC) recently announced their decision to move forward with plans for gaming developments in Cleveland and Cincinnati. Horseshoe Casino Cleveland is expected to open in early 2012 and will be the state's first casino. It is slated to be located in the Historic Higbee Building on Public Square near the city's entertainment district. ROC will also develop and operate a casino in downtown Cincinnati.
