Hotel owners in downtown Seattle are seeking a $2 per-night tax on hotel rooms that would be used to fund tourism promotion for the city, according to a report in the Seattle Times.
The tax proposal, which would apply only to hotels with more than 60 rooms, is expected to go before the Seattle City Council this summer.
