Spectator Sports Group Options in Atlanta

Home to six professional sports teams, Atlanta is a great place to catch a game year-round. Its world-class athletic facilities offer private event space that give off-site events that winning edge.

When catching a Braves baseball game at Turner Field, groups can sound local by referring to the stadium as “the Ted.” Event spaces include the posh, 24,000-square-foot 755 Club, the 350-seat Braves Chophouse, and the Braves Museum and Hall of Fame, which can accommodate 200. There are 1.7 million square feet of parking space perfect for tailgating events with skyline views. Planners can also request stadium tours and appearances by Braves alumni.

The LEED-certified Philips Arena  is home to the NBA Hawks and WNBA Dreams. Located downtown, the arena lights up the city’s skyline with ATLANTA spelled out in 65-foot-high LED letters. Private venues include 120-person party suites, 23-person hospitality suites, 40-person conference rooms, and the 60-person Comcast Business Zone.

Football’s Falcons are known for their rivalry with the New Orleans Saints, and their clashes fill the Georgia Dome  with drama. Rent the entire 102,000-square-foot stadium, meeting and locker rooms seating as many as 400, or the upscale Verizon Wireless Club lounges for groups up to 1,000. The parking lots and Falcons Landing on the front lawn provide ample outdoor event space for tailgating or picnics.

Twenty-five miles south of Atlanta, Atlanta Motor Speedway  offers the high-octane thrill of NASCAR racing combined with unique private event space. Corporate suites seat 16, 30 or 64 guests. Use of the suites comes with access to the Hot Pit Paddock, an outdoor space that puts groups right on the sidelines of the race. The Hospitality Village can accommodate as many as 500 and includes guided pit tours.
