Michael D. McGilligan

DALLAS

Michael D. McGilligan joined Hilton Anatole as its new general manager.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Dallas and leading the team at the Hilton Anatole. Joining this iconic hotel as we gear up for its 40th anniversary in 2019 is a dream come true for me,” McGilligan said. “We have had an amazingly successful first full year at our JadeWaters Resort Pool and there are very few hotels in the world that blend that resort experience with museum quality art, and exceptional meetings and conventions as we do at Hilton Anatole. Working with Crow Holdings and Hilton to achieve the goals for the hotel will be my priority as I re-integrate into the Dallas business and cultural community.”

He comes to the landmark Dallas hotel having most recently served as general manager of the 860-room Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport, where in 2016 he was honored as the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association’s Hotelier of the Year. Prior to moving to Chicago, he was general manager at Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre from 2009-2014.

A 27-year veteran of the hospitality industry, McGilligan began his career in the Philadelphia Regional Accounting office of Guest Quarters Suites. Subsequently, he served in management positions of increasing responsibility with both DoubleTree by Hilton and Embassy Suites by Hilton in Washington D.C. before being named hotel manager of the Embassy Suites-World Financial Center, now Conrad New York. From New York, McGilligan assumed his first general manager role at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego-La Jolla until becoming general manager of Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centrer.

McGilligan is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations. He is a native of Philadelphia, Pa.

Hilton Anatole features 1,606 guest rooms and more than 600,000 square feet of event space as well as nine restaurants and bars, including SER Steak & Spirits located on the hotel’s 27th floor with views overlooking the Dallas skyline.
