Fairmont Dallas Hires Conference Services Profs

Pawin “P.J.” Souksanith; Tanner Austin.

Fairmont Dallas appointed Tanner Austin as its conference services manager and Pawin “P.J.” Souksanith has been hired as its executive meeting manager.

Reporting to the director of catering and conference services, Austin will be responsible for the management of all aspects of hotel events and will coordinate arrangements for client functions.

He began his career in hospitality at Hilton Garden Inn-Bryan/College Station as catering sales manager. He later joined DoubleTree Suites by Hilton-Austin as catering sales manager, and moved to The Worthington Renaissance-Ft. Worth as senior catering sales manager. He joins Fairmont Dallas from his most recent position as catering sales and conference services manager at The Kimpton Harper-Ft. Worth. 

Reporting to the director of group sales, Pawin “P.J.” Souksanith will sell and manage onsite program operations for small groups.

Souksanith started his career in hospitality with Disney Parks & Resorts in the Disney College Program, followed by serving as a server and bartender at Great Wolf Lodge. He also worked at Apple as campus representative while attending the University of North Texas.

Souksanith has previously worked as a guest services associate at Gaylord Entertainment company and as event management voyager at Marriott international. He joins Fairmont Dallas from his most recent position as venue production manager at Tres LA Catering at The Mason Dallas.

Fairmont Dallas is located in the heart of the Dallas Arts District with 545 guest rooms, a rooftop terrace complete with garden and Junior Olympic sized pool, and 70,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is home to the Pyramid Restaurant and an on-site Starbucks on the Lobby level.
