Hyatt Centric Faneuil Boston Welcomes Kevin Matheson as New General Manager

Kevin Matheson

Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston has recently welcomed Kevin Matheson as general manager. Matheson brings over 20 years of hospitality experience in Boston to the Hyatt. Commenting on Matheson’s extensive knowledge and expertise in hotel management, Vincent Ellis, director of sales and marketing, says, "We are fortunate to have Matheson as a part of the team and believe his impressive background and enthusiasm towards hospitality will reinforce the hotel's overall efficiency and success."

As general manager, Matheson will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring personalized, high-quality service to all guests, while continuing to offer a home base for locals and travelers to explore Downtown Boston.

Prior to his role with Hyatt Centric, Matheson served as area general manager for Colwen Hotels, overseeing all aspects of the AC Boston North Hotel, Towneplace Suites Medford, and Fairfield Inn Medford. Before that, he received his bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant and travel administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and began his career with Marriott International. Following his tenure there, he went on to work with Four Seasons, Taj Hotels and then the independent Boston Seaport Hotel before joining Pyramid Hotel Group, where he held multiple positions and began developing his skills in hospitality and as a general manager. Since then, Matheson has quickly moved up the ranks in the hospitality industry and is excited to lead the team at the Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston.

"I am honored to take on this new role and am thrilled to work with a team that shares my passion for hospitality and bringing an unparalleled experience to hotel guests. I am excited to create a work environment where collaboration and communication are at the heart of everything we do. With the previous general manager experience under my belt, I am confident in my ability to enhance the overall experience of staying at Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston,” Matheson said.
