The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) named Annette Gregg its new CEO, effective November 14.

Gregg, who is currently chief revenue officer for MPI, will serve both SITE and the SITE Foundation, and will replace interim executive director Rebecca Wright.

“Firstly, we’d like to pay tribute to Rebecca Wright for stepping up to serve as interim executive director while also delivering on her role as head of chapter engagement for the past 24 months,” said SITE President Kevin Edmunds, in a statement announcing the appointment. “During that time, SITE’s International Board of Directors [IBOD] and SITE Foundation’s International Board of Trustees [IBOT] have been able to thoughtfully and diligently approach the recruitment and appointment of our next CEO in the context of a rapidly evolving marketplace and a new, evolving concept of the nature, purpose and direction of an association.

“We’re thrilled to announce Annette Gregg as our new CEO knowing that the depth of her experience, the strength of her relationships, and the clarity of her vision will help SITE navigate the road ahead and realize its vision to build and bridge cultures through the transformative power of incentive travel and motivational experiences,” Edmunds added.

Gregg has spent her career in the MICE industry, representing organizations ranging from DMOs to corporate end users, according to SITE.

“I’m grateful for a career that has allowed me to contribute to a variety of aspects of the business events industry, covering both the public and private sectors, corporates and associations, agencies and end users,” Gregg said in the statement. “My appointment as chief executive officer at SITE will allow me to integrate my career experience to help move this legacy association to new heights. I have always been convinced of the transformative power of travel experiences for individuals, enterprises, communities and society at large.

“I look forward to working closely with SITE’s IBOD and IBOT,

its global committees and chapters, and our 2,000-plus global members to make the business case for incentive travel and spread the story of travel as transformation,” Gregg continued. “It’s a true honor to take on the role of CEO as SITE embarks on its 50th anniversary.”
