Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau Taps Candy Iannucci-Guay as National Director of SMERF Accounts

The Middletown-based Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTMEETINGS), the state’s official meetings and sports event sales and marketing organization, announced the appointment of Candy Iannucci-Guay as director of national accounts for the SMERF markets. Iannucci-Guay is an award-winning hospitality industry professional with more than 20 years of Connecticut experience.  

In her new position, Iannucci-Guay will work with meeting planners at national, regional and local SMERF associations and groups considering Connecticut as the site of new or returning meetings, conventions and events.

She knows how to help planners and what to deliver to ensure that they can produce successful events of all sizes.” 

Iannucci-Guay comes to CTMEETINGS from the Sheraton Hartford-South Hotel in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, where she was sales manager after spending nearly 15 years at the Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., starting in event management and moving to corporate sales.
