Long Term Staff Member at the Alamodome is Promoted to General Manager

Steve Zito

In an internal promotion, Steve Zito has been elevated to general manager of the Alamodome.

Zito has over three decades of experience in managing entertainment and sports facilities and has managed the Alamodome for six years.

The six years Zito spent overseeing the entertainment and sports facilities is predated by 24 years working at the Alamodome, dating back to May 15, 1993, when the Alamodome first opened. Before that position, Zito was the president of sports and entertainment for Andy Frain Services, senior vice president of facilities and events for the Memphis Grizzlies/FedEx Forum, and vice president of facilities and events for the San Antonio Spurs/AT&T Center.

“Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to a position that requires both,” said Patricia Muzquiz Cantor, director of Convention & Sports Facilities for the City of San Antonio. “The Alamodome ranks as one of the most diverse, popular entertainment venues in the country, and Steve’s leadership has been a critical part of that.”

This information is based on a press release from Alamodome.
