Avocet Hospitality Selects Three General Managers for Hotels in Brand Portfolio
Avocet Hospitality hired three new general managers at three of the brand’s hotel properties: The Vendue, Tides Folly Beach and The Admiral.
Terell Ham has been promoted to general manager of The Admiral in Mobile, Alabama. His first project will be to oversee the property-wide renovation that will pay homage to the city’s history. Originally hired at Avocet Hospitality in 2014, Ham has served as restaurant general manager, food and beverage director and assistant general manager at The Vendue.
Carley Ford is positioned to take over as general manager at The Vendue in Charleston, South Carolina, a role in which she will oversee property operations, as well as the current renovation of 26 Vendue, one of the two buildings that comprise The Vendue hotel. Ford will also oversee the rooftop bar, a fine dining restaurant revival and the gallery spaces on property. Prior to her position with Avocet Hospitality, where she was hired in 2021, Ford worked as general manager of Tides Folly Beach, a beachfront Avocet property in South Carolina.
Nathan Foster will take over as general manager of The Tides Folly Beach in South Carolina. His role will be to oversee the daily operations of the hotel, BLU Beach Bar and Grill and Pier 101 Restaurant and Bar. Before his hiring at The Tides Folly Beach, Foster worked at The Charleston Place Hotel for almost 20 years, where he was originally hired on as room service manager and promoted internally a number of times before becoming front office manager and director of housekeeping.
