A New Take on Retreats and More Upgrades and Openings in the East

One of Manhattan’s most popular cocktail lounges, The Skylark, launched a new event space for small meetings and corporate gatherings called The Den. The newly renovated space perched 30 stories above Times Square can accommodate up to 20 attendees and features leather seating, walnut flooring, industrial-inspired light fixtures and a variety of spaces designed for brainstorming and teambuilding.

The Hotel at the Arundel Preserve completed renovations of all of its guest rooms and corridors, enhancing the 2023 renovations of its lobby and meeting rooms. 

Located just over seven miles from the Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport, the property features 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space that now feature prefunction spaces, comfortable seating options and enhanced lighting. The hotel’s Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 500 attendees, and the eco-friendly property is also LEED Silver certified. 

The latest renovation of the hotel’s 150 guest rooms brings new eco-friendly lighting, extra power outlets and contemporary finishes. The renovation also included upgrades to the hotel’s fitness center. 

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina completed an extensive renovation to the property’s meeting and event space, finalizing a transformation project that began in 2023 with an upgrade of the resort’s ballrooms.

The 400-room resort is nestled on 342 acres of Maryland’s Eastern Shore and has over 122,000 square of flexible meeting and event space. This includes the 11,259-square-foot Chesapeake Ballroom and the 4,860-square-foot Choptank Ballroom, both featuring prefunction foyers with floor-to-ceiling windows. The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay also has 85,000 square feet of outdoor event space like the Regatta Pavillion or the Breakwater Pavillion, both offering waterfront views.

The resort’s business center has also been converted into a new meeting space called the Blue Heron room, which can accommodate up to 40 attendees in its 500 square feet of space.

Virginia

The 254-room, all-suite Washington Dulles Marriott Suites completed a comprehensive renovation, including refreshed aesthetics and upgraded amenities in the property’s guest suites, meeting spaces and restaurant. The 11-story hotel is located three miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and offers easy access to wineries, museums and attractions throughout Northern Virginia.

Each redesigned suite has a separate bedroom and living area, workstation, wet bar, mini-fridge, microwave and safe. The Washington Dulles Marriott Suites also features a full-service restaurant and bar, lobby lounge, a 24/7 fitness center and five meeting rooms offering 2,600 square feet of total event space.

A New Take on Eastern Retreats
