Whether you’re looking to host an onsite, multiday event for 1,000-plus attendees or simply want a special evening somewhere that sparkles, Disneyland Resort’s private event venues and after-hours land buyout options are unparalleled and unforgettable.

Here’s a look at some of the one-of-a-kind, world-class spaces at Disneyland Resort available for private events and after-hours buyouts that are guaranteed to sprinkle some signature Disney magic on your attendees.

Disneyland Park

On July 17, 1955, Disneyland opened its doors and welcomed its first guests to the “Happiest Place on Earth,” a modern theme park with multiple immersive lands to explore, fan-favorite Mickey Mouse Club characters to meet, and surprises to discover around every corner.

As the resort celebrates 70 years of making magic happen, Disneyland continues to reinvent and reimagine the experiences it delivers for millions of guests every year, whether they’re adults seeing Sleeping Beauty’s Castle for the first time or a life-long Disney fan with as many years of memories at the park as the park has itself.

Groups gathering at Disneyland Resort also have the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime thanks to the activities and amenities available to them, and the expert team at Disney Meetings & Events is ready to make every planner’s wish come true.

Here are a few of the special spaces and legendary lands available at Disneyland Park that make meetings magical.

1. Mickey’s Toontown

Available for after-hours land buyouts that are ideal for groups between 500 and 1,200, Mickey’s Toontown is a vibrant, playful world full of zany adventures and whimsical sights that takes guests on a nostalgic journey through the animated neighborhood where Mickey Mouse and his closest pals reside.

An interactive area inspired by the world of classic Disney cartoons and recently renovated in 2023, Mickey’s Toontown features attractions that include Mickey and Minnie’s houses, green spaces and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a Disneyland ride highlight offering a 2D adventure inspired by the Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts that ran for five seasons starting in 2013.

“After a full day of meetings, attendees look forward to enjoying some well-deserved play time,” said Robert Donahue, director of sales and services at Disneyland Resort. “Mickey’s Toontown is a great place to host these events because it allows attendees to reconnect with their favorite memories while also celebrating new accomplishments with colleagues.”

Mickey’s Toontown is also a popular choice for groups thanks to its convenient location near nighttime entertainment and the VIP feeling that comes with having an entire land at Disneyland Park all to themselves.

2. The Yard, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Set in a galaxy far, far away (but also conveniently within the confines of Disneyland Park), The Yard is an exclusive outdoor venue that acts as a gathering spot for an out-of-this-world adventure in the shadow of the ride Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Featuring Star Wars-themed attractions, entertainment, character experiences, food and more, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge invites guests to experience Batuu, a remote and lawless fictional region in the Outer Rim of the galaxy that is known for its outposts and smugglers.

The Yard in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge gives groups of up to 300 the opportunity to travel to a flexible, customizable space in Batuu where they can try exotic bites and beverages, view rare and unique artifacts or participate in thrilling interactive missions.

“Immersive storytelling is at the heart of what we do at Disney,” Donahue said. “We take inspiration from our world-renowned attractions to create magical touches that energize and inspire attendees. Those emotional connections are what makes Disney meetings so memorable and impactful.”

3. Starview Station

Sitting high above Disneyland Park and providing a premium fireworks viewing spot, Starview Station is the ultimate indoor event venue for a showstopping evening gathering for up to 150 seated or 250 reception-style.

Groups gathering at Starview Station also have access to a terrace overlooking the themed Tomorrowland area and the rest of the park, providing an elevated outdoor space to let in even more Disney magic.

Disney California Adventure Park

The second theme park at Disneyland Resort, and with a main entrance just across the way from the gates to the first, Disney California Adventure Park brings stories from Disney, Pixar and Marvel to life across seven other-worldly themed lands, taking guests everywhere from Cars’ Radiator Springs to Andy’s Toy Story bedroom to Avengers Campus, which is currently undergoing refurbishment to make way for two new attractions.

Disney California Adventure may be the younger Disneyland Resort theme park sibling by nearly half a century, but it’s equally as experienced as its big sister when it comes to thrilling adventures, magical storytelling and interactive entertainment for people of all ages—and groups of all sizes.

Here are three places in Disney California Adventure Park that groups can make their own.

1. Disney Theater

This retro-styled indoor space for 120 seated or 200 reception-style is more modern and high-tech than its decor and design make it feel.

Disney Theater was built with events requiring state-of-the-art technology and audiovisual features in mind, outfitted with vibrant LED screens, a built-in stage and advanced lighting.

“Supporting our clients with the latest event technology is a priority for us at Disney Meetings & Events,” Donahue said. “We work closely with meeting professionals to help them tell their own stories in a fresh and engaging way in order to meet business objectives and goals.”

2. Golden Vine House

Think it’d be difficult to find a charming, private and intimate space for a small group dinner or reception at a world-renowned theme park? Think again.

Golden Vine House brings Tuscan vibes and a Mediterranean-inspired setting to Disney California Adventure, offering a warm, cozy and rustic atmosphere that epitomizes timeless charm and offers an intimate, inviting escape amidst the theme park excitement.

“The Golden Vine House is one of my favorite venues at Disney California Adventure,” Donahue said. “The atmosphere and decor has a unique, boutique-dining feel, and our award-winning Disney chefs can create immersive menus that add some extra magic that only Disney can deliver.”

Groups of up to 25 can enjoy a seated dinner in the space, while up to 60 are invited to gather for a reception.

3. Animation Academy

Hollywood Land’s red carpets, bright lights and iconic film and music scenes are closer to Anaheim than they may seem. Thanks to Disney California Adventure’s Animation Academy, groups looking for a little time in the spotlight with an exclusive Hollywood afterparty atmosphere don’t have to travel far to find it.

This immersive space for 150 seated or 250 for a reception is surrounded by projections of Disney’s animated classics, which guests can watch and enjoy as Disney artists create personalized sketches for them to take home as an event memento.

“Disney Meetings & Events is the ultimate partner in transformational meetings and events,” Donahue said. “We have vast resources at our disposal, and creative thinkers ready to help problem solve and innovate. Most of all, we believe in the power of happiness and making dreams come true.”
