Cvent Acquires AI-Video Content Generator Goldcast

In mid-December, meeting- and hospitality-technology provider Cvent acquired the video content platform Goldcast, which focuses on live events and webinars.

The purchase allows planners and marketing teams using Cvent to use Goldcast’s AI capabilities to quickly turn compelling moments from live events or webinars into video clips, summaries and recaps.

With Goldcast, event hosts can produce a library of repurposed footage for social and sales campaigns. Further, Cvent’s event insights combined with Goldcast’s video-engagement metrics allow for a clearer view of buyer intent. In a media release, Cvent also noted the purchase allows for host organizations to simplify their tech stack, with event management, engagement analytics and video creation in one place.

“As marketers face a video-first future, we’re building tools that turn every event into a content engine so brands can amplify their reach and personalize at scale,” said Palash Soni, CEO and co-founder of Goldcast. “Together, we’ll put same-day, on-brand video in more marketers’ hands so they can publish, personalize and enable sales faster, and keep winning the mindshare of their audiences.”

Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent, added: “This acquisition reflects our strong belief in the power of AI-driven video and the role it will play in the future of event marketing. AI is transforming how content is produced, but it doesn’t change what audiences value most—authentic moments and experiences.”
