Luxury Phoenix Resort Completes Event-Space Makeover

Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa, a luxury property in Phoenix’s tony Paradise Valley neighborhood, has completed a $7 million renovation of its 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

A mainstay for higher-end corporate meetings and incentives of up to 120 attendees, the property consists of suite and casita accommodations and is set on the north slope of Camelback Mountain, providing sweeping views of the valley as well as the mountain ranges to the north and east.

The renovation of the gathering spaces at the well-manicured resort included the glass-walled, 3,800-square-foot Views Ballroom, which is now divisible by five and features a wraparound covered terrace that allows attendees to enter and exit each of the divisible spaces to the outside.

In addition, the Views Terrace and Lawn has new tiled flooring and new turf; the space is often used for receptions that offer picnic-style games, musical performances, fire pits and a variety of seating, from high-top chairs to dinner set-ups to long couches.

In addition to its glass-walled fine-dining restaurant and adjacent bar, the property is known for the quality of its 12,000-square-foot spa, which has added wellness and mental-fitness programming that planners can incorporate into a meeting agenda. Other leisure elements on property include tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center, and outdoor pools. For golf, guests of Sanctuary Camelback have privileges at the nearby Marriott Mountain Shadows Resort.

The resort is three miles from Old Town Scottsdale and nine miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, a 20-minute drive.
