Hilton Tokyo Sees Multimillion-Dollar Renovation to Meeting Spaces, Plus Global Openings in Malaysia and Thailand

Hilton Tokyo completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to its meeting and event spaces. The renovation stemmed from a growing demand for AV-integrated and experience-driven events across both international and domestic markets.  The property’s meeting spaces feature a new AV system and a curved LED wall. 

The third and fourth floors now allow for seamless and flexible experiences for meetings and events. Guests can flow from meeting rooms to prefunction space using a spiral staircase. Also, eight elevators connect the prefunction space to the rest of the property. More than 2,000 square feet of meeting space was added to the Hilton’s third floor, which now boasts nearly 13,000 square feet of space across four meeting rooms, five function rooms, one prefunction room, three breakout areas and one lecture hall. In total, the 830-room hotel offers nearly 27,000 square feet of space across 25 meeting rooms. The largest room, the Kiku Ballroom, has a   capacity of 1,000 guests.

In addition to the meetings offerings, the Hilton offers a variety of F&B options, from sushi and teppanyaki steaks to modern Chinese and a bar with live music.  Other amenities at the property include a rooftop tennis court and an indoor pool. The hotel provides easy access to transportation via the metro, which is connected by underground walkway.

Malaysia 

The 23-story Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur is set to open later this year. The property will mark the brand’s debut in Malaysia. Guest accommodations include 272 custom-designed suites. The hotel will feature multiple onsite dining venues, one of which, Peacock Alley, is a brand staple that showcases its commitment to elegance, cultural storytelling and elevated food and beverage. More amenities on property include an outdoor pool, spa and wellness center. Meetings offerings include more than 31,000 square feet of space across nine rooms. The largest space at the hotel is 17,034 square feet.

Thailand

voco Bangkok Surawong, a 244-room hotel by IHG, opened in January. Guests are welcomed with a signature Thai dessert: a mango sticky rice cookie that is prepared fresh daily with local mangoes. Thai influences are also found in the artistry which reflects Surawong’s vibrant spirit. The hotel offers three onsite dining options, two of which are Tasca Sabio and Deckles Smokehouse. Additional amenities include a full lap pool, 24-hour fitness center and spa. Voco’s meeting offerings include a ballroom for 200 guests and four flexible meeting spaces.

The Farm at San Benito, Autograph Collection by Marriott debuted in the Philippines late last year. The resort spans nearly 130 acres in Lipa, Batangas.
