Five Components of Extraordinary Teams

Team Building Keynote

Machines are evaluated based on the output of the entire unit, not the impressiveness of their individual parts. Extraordinary teams, like great machines, require certain components that hold their pieces together.

While most organizations focus exclusively on building the skills of their individual members, elite organizations invest in the “stuff” that transforms a collection of talented individuals into extraordinary, machine-like teams.

Lee Rubin, who has a 20-year history of building and leading high-performance teams in corporate America and in the collegiate and professional sports world, will show how you can leverage this knowledge to strengthen both your meetings and events teams as well as your interactions onsite.
By attending this session, participants will learn the following:

  • - Why individuals must make sacrifices to achieve the team’s COMMON GOAL.
  • - Why open and honest COMMUNICATION is the foundation for trust.
  • - Why daily, focused discipline is the key to CONSISTENCY.

Emotional Intelligence: Leveraging the Foundational Skill of the Future-Proofed Workplace

It is easy to hear the phrase Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and shrug it off as another buzzword de jure for 2022. The truth is, understanding the fundamental components of your emotional quotient as a businessperson and thought leader is crucial to not only leveraging relationships internally but establishing yourself and your organization as aligned with the values of today’s consumers.

By investing the time to learn more about how EQ can be used every day to elevate your professional rapport when managing stakeholders, projects or redefining organizational culture, you can undoubtedly “level up” your understanding of what is seen as the core future skill defining the workforce of today.

To ensure this session is anything but ordinary, we will tap into the power of humor and examine the lessons learned from the seminal work of Who’s Line is it Anyway? as we explore how improvisation and EQ unexpectedly intersect.

By attending this session, participants will learn the following:

  • - Create a shared definition of what emotional intelligence is.
  • - Discuss the four components that comprise emotional intelligence.
  • - Apply emotional intelligence as a strategic business tool.
  • - Discover the intersection of two future skills: improvisation and emotional intelligence.
