D.C. Meeting Planners Get a Free Ride to PCMA

Are you a Washington, D.C. area meeting planner who’s headed to Pittsburgh for PCMA’s Convening Leaders Annual Conference? Well, come on and take a free ride!

The PCMA Capital and Chesapeake chapters have partnered with Event Transportation Systems (ETS) to offer a free shuttle to Convening Leaders for D.C. meeting planners, with a reduced $150 rate for suppliers.

“We have supported PCMA for many years, and we always look for ways to give back to the industry,” said Eric Hotard, CEO of ETS. “That’s why we’ve decided to offer a free shuttle for the PCMA Capital and Chesapeake chapter planners attending PCMA Convening Leaders this year.”

In announcing the offer, ETS said the average, non-stop roundtrip flight to Pittsburgh during Convening Leaders would cost more than $200 and take about an hour.

“Riders will save on hefty parking and airport transfer fees,” Hotard said. "And considering TSA lines, flight time and airport transfers, travel to and from Pittsburgh ends up being about the same when traveling by shuttle."

The shuttles will depart from Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, January 5 at 11:30 a.m., pick up attendees at the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center at noon, and arrive at The David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh at 4:30 p.m., traffic permitting, where attendees can check in to the conference, print their badges and then utilize the conference’s hotel shuttle service to travel to their hotels.

Shuttles on the second day will leave D.C. at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 6.

The return trips will leave The David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Tuesday, January 8 at 3:30 p.m. and Wednesday, January 9 at 12:30 p.m.

Space is limited, so those interested in climbing aboard for this sweet deal can check it out on Event Transportation Systems' website and then book here.
