SPINCon 2019 Heads to California

The Senior Planners Industry Network (SPIN), an association for senior-level planners with at least 10 years of full-time planning experience, unveiled the location and dates for its annual conference this year.

SPINCon 2019 will be held November 3-5 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California.

The property is located on Del Monte Golf Course and features 550 guest units and 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including an expansive Grand Ballroom, breakout rooms and the new outdoor Oaktree Terrace.

“This is our first time hosting SPINCon on the West Coast, and we are excited to have such good partners in Monterey,” said Tracey Smith, executive director of SPIN. “The size of the property and the layout of the city are a perfect fit for SPIN’s member profile.”

Known for its eccentric vibe that aims to create a welcoming space for members to exhale, have fun, network and learn, SPINCon is designed to embrace the “whole meeting professional” by focusing on brain, body, being and business.

The working theme for SPINCon 2019 is “Are You Game.”

Programming will be based on session topic ideas submitted by members.

Many SPINCon favorites will be a part of the agenda again this year, such as the bingo pajama party and the 40 Over 40 Awards, recognizing planners over the age of 40 who have made outstanding contributions to the industry.

The opening night reception will be held at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of the destination's iconic off-site venues.

Registration for SPINCon 2019 will begin this summer.
