Washington, D.C.-based meeting planners are being offered free shuttle service to PCMA Conventing Leaders.

Las Vegas’ Park MGM announced that its Ideation Studio and Madison Meeting Center (MMC) are now members of IACC, making them part of the association’s group of 300 conferencing venues in 26 countries.

Carol McGury, executive vice president, event and education services for association services company SmithBucklin, has been elected as chair of the PCMA Education Foundation’s Board of Trustees, which governs the organization. McGury will assume the role following PCMA’s Convening Leaders meeting January 6-9, 2019, in Pittsburgh. She will replace Maritz Global Events President David Peckinpaugh.

Meliá Hotels International announced Nashelly Tapia as the new director of sales and marketing of Meliá Nassau Beach – All Inclusive. In her new role, she will be responsible for increasing the property’s visibility within various marketing channels and driving the hotel’s sales goals.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce hired Bob Harris as its new executive vice president of sales. Harris brings significant CVB sales and marketing experience to the Myrtle Beach area. He currently serves as senior vice president of tourism at the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance.
